Make Sure That Only Junk Emails End Up In The Junk Folder

The junk folder is a useful part of any email solution – but from time to time, it may make a mistake and filter the wrong email out of your inbox. Do you know how to make sure that legitimate emails aren’t continually caught in your junk folder?

The junk folder is an important part of email security and user experience. It can filter out a range of dangerous phishing and virus-infected emails, as well as time-wasting spam. However, it’s not always 100% accurate.

If you have a contact that sends you an email with a lot of hyperlinks or an unrecognized attachment, your filter may sort it into the junk folder just to be safe. This can be frustrating, if every time you expect an email from a regular contact, you have to find it in your junk folder.

Want to fix this issue for good?

How To Sort Legitimate Messages Out Of Your Junk Folder

  • Go to your junk folder.
  • Find the email in question.
  • Right-click, and click “Move”
  • Select inbox (or whichever folder you want those emails sorted to).

Don’t let your junk folder dictate the terms of your user experience. Next time a legitimate email gets caught in the junk folder, follow the above steps to make sure the next one lands in your inbox.
