Colorado Computer Support Partners with Habitat For Humanity This Holiday Season
No construction sites are required to participate in Habitat for Humanity this year, as Colorado Computer Support is acting as a corporate sponsor for Habitat for Humanity’s “Gingerbread Home Build!”
CCS has joined 16 other corporate sponsors who have come together in a friendly competition to raise funds towards building an affordable home for a local veteran’s family. The results have been decorous and delicious.
Gingerbread homes were decorated on December 1, and voting via donations took place ever since, with voting ending at midnight on December 16. With intricate icing on the roof, “snow” on the ground, and awnings of the house, complete with a gingerbread man and doormat at the entrance, CCS’s house has raised 261% of our $200 goal, earning $522.50, enough for a current sitting of seventh place!
But we can still move up. The competition winner is announced on December 18, so there is still time for CCS to take the top spot!
The Pike’s Peak Habitat For Humanity Veteran Build will begin construction in January 2021, with estimated completion in October 2021. It will likely cost approximately $230,000 to build this home, so this event’s goal is $23,000, 10% of the cost.
Currently, there has been $12,155.35 raised between all the sponsors, so hopefully, a late surge can get CCS to the top of the standings, bring everyone closer to the goal, and give a little more cheer this holiday season!
