Since 1937, The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo has been a tradition in Colorado Springs, showcasing rodeo talent and offering wholesome entertainment for the community.
As of 1946, proceeds from the rodeo have gone to helping support service workers and their families in the Pike Peak region.
The Colorado Springs area is home to the United States Air Force Academy, U.S. NORAD/NORTHCOM, Air Force Space Command, Shriever Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force Base, and Fort Carson.
