Is Your Support 24/7?
This is an excellent question and one we get asked quite often. The answer is, “Yes, we are available 24/7.”
We have techs who are always working. The challenge is that it’s not for everything. Our business office is open from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. However, we have techs who are on-call and ready to answer your needs if you require emergency services for your IT. We understand that you could have a business critical situation in the middle of the night.
We also have techs on call on Christmas, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and other holidays. And, we don’t charge our clients extra when they call after hours for emergency service. Our number-one goal is to serve our clients when they require IT support.
If it’s not a business critical situation, we roll the service over to the next business day. Most managed IT service companies do this as well. In most industries, customer service is available only during regular business hours. If you require help after hours, you usually have to leave a message, and someone gets back to you on the next business day.
Technology that breaks down in the middle of the night can be annoying, but in most cases, it’s not life-threatening. We do have clients who run medical facilities where the health of patients can be affected if their network goes down in the middle of the night. In these cases, we can get a technician out as soon as possible. In some instances, the problem can be fixed remotely. Whichever, our techs will move quickly to restore your networks, servers, computers or whatever technology issues you are having.
In this day and age, we understand that some employees are online 24 hours a day. They work from home, vacation spots, and when traveling for business. They work from their laptops, tablets and smartphones wherever they have an internet connection.
With people now working at all hours of the day and night, there may come a time when managed IT service providers are open all night. But for now, we’ve found that most technology issues can wait until the next business day. However, if you believe that you need our help at midnight, please contact us. Over the past 15 years, we’ve seen a growing number of businesses that stay open around the clock. You can almost always find a convenience store that’s open at 2 am in your neighborhood. There are even some grocery stores that stay open all night; believe it or not, some people like to buy their groceries at 3 in the morning. There are always a few gas stations open all night and restaurants that stay open for those night owls among us. This is actually good for many reasons. If people buy groceries or fill up their tanks in the middle of the night, this alleviates the rush during the day.
